Special Collections: Non-circulation

1. Status. For circulating collections (such as main, folio, etc.) the status is coded as “-”. For non-circulating collections the status is coded as “o”. This allows the circulating materials to appear as “available” and the non-circulating materials to appear as “Lib use Only” in the public catalog. It is the responsibility of the person cataloging these materials to see that this is correct. Once a year or so a create list may be invoked to assure that none in these categories have been overlooked.

2. ITYPE. ITYPES 1,2,3, and 6 are used for one-day, two hour, three day, and two weeks respectively. 0 is used for all other materials. Reserve items will receive the 1-3 ITYPE value, 6 is used for Best Sellers current.
